Some colleagues and I have been working on using a version of synthetic phonics with our E2 Literacy students. We are interested to find out if anyone else out there is doing anything similar? We are keen to share with anyone else in the Adult Literacy world who is exploring this.
We have had some quite positive results so far and have found it useful as one technique amongst others (which of course include "real" books and reading).
Another area i would like to explore is using blogs with my students,which is partly why i have started this blog. I have been writing an online module for a university degree course which makes use of blogs and it's got me thinking about how useful and interesting it would be for literacy students. I am aware that some other people have been exploring this and have found some links through Chris Jackson's Skills for Life blog
